An algorithm developed by Andrew Reece at Harvard University and Chris Danforth at the University of Vermont suggests that you can determine how depressed someone is based on what Instagram filters they tend use. Using ‘Inkwell’ tends to indicate depression, ‘Valencia’ is used by non-depressed people, and for the ‘Nashville’ filter… Well that means you’re just too hipster for your own damn good.
