Would You Be Willing to Tip 30%
Tipping used to be suggested at 15%, and people who wanted to be generous went for 20%. The New York Post is reporting that the tipping expectation in New York has creeped up to 25% and beyond. Steve Dublanica, author two books on tipping says “In Manhattan, when I talk to waiters they tell me, ‘No, we want 25 percent now.’ I don’t know how often they’re getting it, but within the past couple years, I’ve heard that mumbled.”
