The highly anticipated Woody Allen Amazon series starring Allen himself, Elaine May, and Miley Cyrus will debut on September 30th. The new series finally has a title, Crisis in Six Scenes and a great comedy cast that includes Lewis Black, Joy Behar, and Bobby Slayton. John Magaro, Rachel Brosnahan, Michael Rapaport, Becky Ann Baker, Margaret Ladd, David Harbour and Christine Ebersole also co-star in the new series as announced at the TCA press tour on Sunday, according to Deadline.

But that’s not all, Amazon is calling September their Month of Comedy, because leading up to the premiere of Crisis in Six Scenes, Amazon is also debuting Tig Notaro’s series One Mississippi on September 9th, the comedy Fleabag a week later on September 16th and the third season of the smash hit series Transparent on the 23rd.

One Mississippi comes from executive producer Louis C.K. and was the stand out choice in Amazon’s “vote for your favorite pilot” offerings last fall. Notaro plays herself in a storyline based loosely on her own life experiences with storylines that will combine tragedy with dark comedy.  The death of Tig’s mom, her strange encounters with her step father, and dealing with her own problems including a cancer diagnosis and double mastectomy, were issues that arose in the series pilot.  Speaking at the TCA press tour, Notaro said the series will also explore other difficulties she encountered including a breakup, pneumonia and an intestinal disease, all within a four month period.

Phoebe Waller Bridge’s award winning play forms the basis for comedy series Fleabag, about a “poignant window into the mind of a dry-witted, sexual, angry, grief-riddled woman” who makes a go at life in London.
