#WishingBoot Takes the Country By Storm

Saturday Night Live put host Blake Shelton’s talent to good use in their digital short music video, “Wishin’ Boot”. The country music video hit all the aspects of a modern country song, poverty, faithful dogs and praying. To a cowboy boot.  The song about a magical boot was performed by Shelton, Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant,. Kate bore suspicious resemblance to Reba McEntire, Aidy had a Wynonna Judd thing going on, and Blake was just Blake.

The song was a monster hit on twitter, with #WishingBoot trending within minutes.  We’re not sure how many of the tweeters loved the bit, and how many just loved the song.

“Tell all your friends about the Wishin’ Boot, the boot that makes your dreams come true”.

For those who don’t follow country music, if you’re having difficultly telling the difference between the shorts and the hits– the song Shelton performed later in the night with the lyrics “Chew tobacco, chew tobacco, chew tobacco, spit” was a real song, and not a second digital short.
