What’s the world’s largest annual comedy – music festival without its own theme song? Tenacious D has announced the winners in their search for the most epic theme song for their upcoming Festival Supreme.
In preparation for this year’s Festival Supreme, happening October 25th in Los Angeles, Jack Black and Kyle Gass gave Tenacious D fans a chance to send in their most awesome entries for the 2014 theme song. JB and KG promised to listen to every single song submitted and they are men of their word. They chose one winner themselves with the “Judge’s Pick” and let fans choose the “Community Pick” winner by voting online at Talenthouse.com.
The song selected personally by Tenacious D was from longtime “D” fan Dave Moulton with his entry “20 Years of Tenacious D: A Tribute To The Best Band In The World”. Dave won some cash for himself and VIP tickets to the festival. Here’s his song.
The Tenacious D fans chose the other festival winner, comedian and musican Jessica Delfino’s song “A Mother Lovin Dream”.
This year’s Festival Supreme will be Saturday, October 25th at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall. The festival starts at 2 pm. The roster of Festival Supreme talent this year includes Cheech & Chong, Workaholics, Margaret Cho, Fred Armisen & Bill Hader, Nick Kroll, Norm Macdonald, Janeane Garofalo, Scott Aukerman, Maria Bamford, T.J.
