Will Ferrell Joins LAFC Ownership Group

LAFC, the MLS club scheduled to replace the failed Chivas USA experiment in 2018, unveiled its new crest Thursday in Los Angeles. They also revealed a new partner: Will Ferrell. He joins a celebrity ownership group that includes Magic Johnson, Mia Hamm and Nomar Garciaparra, and Tony Robbins. The team currently plans to build a stadium next to Memorial Coliseum, where Ferrell’s beloved USC Trojans play.
Now, if LA Galaxy know what they’re doing, they’ll sell a stake to John C. Reilly. It could be the most entertaining derby ever.
