Will Arnett Getting Another Netflix Series

Netflix loves Will Arnett, and thank god because network tv never seems to know how to write for him. Will Arnett already stars as the voice of “Bojack Horseman”, the animated series available on Netflix. Now the streaming service would like some more live action with him. Netflix is has ordered an 8 episode season of “Flaked”, a new comedy series starring and co-created by Arnett.

In the new sitcom, Arnett will star as a “self-appointed guru” named Chip who falls for woman of his best friend’s dreams.  Shit gets complicated, which will jeopardize his image as a self-help master along with his sobriety.

Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix said, “We are thrilled to be the home of Will Arnett’s next series, and look forward to Chip joining his repertoire alongside such diverse and inspirational characters such as Gob, Bojack, and Batman.” Arnett himself added, “We’re very excited to partner with Netflix– the home of original, original content — and the network I knew would be the ideal home for this passion project.”

“Flaked” will add to Arnett’s high visibility on Netflix. You can also catch Will Arnett on the entertainment service in the comedy series “Arrested Development” and “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret” starring David Cross.

“Flaked” is executive produced by Will Arnett and co-creator Mark Chappell, Ben Silverman, Peter Principato and Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of “Arrested Development”. The series is planned for a 2016 premiere date.
