Why Was ‘The Canyons’ rejected for SXSW?

You would think that ‘The Canyons’, directed by Paul Schrader and written by Bret Easton Ellis would be a lock for the SXSW Film Festival right? Wrong. Not when it stars a very Hollywood hit kryptonite Lindsey Lohan and porn star James Deen. A festival insider said the film has a ‘ugliness and deadness to it’. Ouch.
