Who’s Hosting Saturday Night Live Tonight: September 10, 2016

Saturday Night Live is in the air, with rumors about new castmembers, and less than only 3 weeks away from the October 1 premiere. But for tonight, you’ll have to settle for a repeat episode on NBC hosted by Ariana Grande.  The episode originally aired on March 12.

Grande not only hosted, she also performed as the episode’s musical guest. Grande’s first album debuted at #1 on the charts in 2013, and her second album followed suit a year later and a third album came out this spring.

Grande’s monologue was a musical one, and Grande killed in a sketch showing off musical impressions including Britney Spears, Shakira, Rihanna, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston while playing an intern for Jay-Z’s Tidal music streaming service during a power outage. The sketch’s premise made no sense, but nobody cared, the impressions were great. Also keep an eye out for an interesting Sound of Music parody with Aidy Bryant, Cecily Strong, Vanessa Bayer, Sasheer Zamata, and Kate McKinnon.
