Who is Hosting Saturday Night Live Tonight?
Casey Affleck will be hosting Saturday Night Live tonight. Although, big brother Ben has hosted the show many times (he joined the five timers club all the way back in 2013), this is Casey’s first time. Affleck is the perfect choice to host this week because he’s starring in one of the most critically beloved films of 2016- Manchester by the Sea.
For those who aren’t up on the end of year critics’ pick, you also know Casey for his Oscar nominated performance in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and Gone Baby Gone. He also directed Joaquin Phoenix in the mockumentary, I’m Still Here, and appeared in all the Oceans reboot movies as Virgil Malloy.
Tonight is the last live SNL episode of 2016 and will serve as the official Christmas episode before the cast takes a three week break for the holidays. Expect guest stars, alum drop-ins and maybe some family appearances?
Just one promo this week, Casey and musical guest Chance the Rapper make an effort to contribute to the Rockefeller Christmas tree, but they’re gonna need a bigger ladder.
