You can find an almost unlimited number of music festivals throughout the US each year.  We picked five of the biggest to find out which is your favorite, and why.  So let us know what you think!

 

Coachella:  The Desert.  Epic Camping.  Sustainability.  Scuplture.  And of course music.  Each year 60-75,000 people show up for the 3 day event featuring hip hop, rock, indie and electronica bands on 5 stages.

Lollapalooza:  The City of Chicago.  Comedy.  Crafts.  And music.  Started in 1991 as a touring festival, Lollapalooza now calls Grant Park in Chicago home featuring alt rock, metal, punk rock and hip hop bands plus comedy/dance.

South by Southwest (SXSW):  Music.  Film.  Techies.  The bars of  Austin Texas.  Over 2,000 performers play on more than 90 stages throughout the city at this 3 day festival.   Its all about emerging acts, and the vibe that is Austin.

Austin City Limits:  70 to 100,000 people check out over 130 acts on eight stages in Austin’s  Zilker Park.  Celebrates local food and art along with rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and more. Based on the PBS series.

Bonnaroo:  Music.  Comedy.  Crafts.  Food.  Over 100,000 people converge yearly on this farm for a four day music festival in Manchester Tennessee .  Multiple stages fill with a diverse range of bands: hip hop, indie, jazz, rock,  bluegrass, gospel, reggae, and more.
