Slate figured out how much it would cost to shoot a documentary like the American Office in real life. Taking into account it’s been going on for 10 years and how much a run of the mill reality show costs to make, the ballpark is between $10 and $20 million dollars. And that’s taking into account none of the people in the office would of been able to make contract negotiations considering the actual doc hasn’t aired yet.
