Coming Soon: Wiener-Dog Trailer Gives a Glimpse At Solondz Dark Comedy

The trailer for Todd Solondz forthcoming dark comedy Wiener-Dog looks funny and promising, and not nearly as dark as his earlier films including Welcome to the Dollhouse. But word on the netz is that the trailer doesn’t necessarily give an accurate preview of the full indie feature. Still, any film that casts Greta Gerwig, Danny DeVito, Ellen Burstyn, and Julie Delpy for starters has our attention. Described as a dark funny story of a single dog and the many different people she touches over her short lifetime, the film tells four stories and includes a semi-sequel to Solondz’ Welcome to the Dollhouse.
