What happens when you need a new bridge, but don’t want to interrupt traffic!? Do what Portland, Oregon did and just move the old bridge over. Here’s a time lapse video of the 3400 ton old Sellwood Bridge being moved out of the way for the new one. It took 12 hours to move the span and another 24 to find someone brave enough to try driving over it.
