Vote Jimmy Shubert Back Into Last Comic Standing!
Comedian Jimmy Shubert was eliminated last week from Last Comic Standing , but here’s your chance to get him back on the show!
Jimmy gave great performances on the LCS but still got sent home in the first week of the finals. Too Soon for a comedy veteran like Jimmy Shubert! Now there’s an opportunity to get him back on Last Comic Standing and performing at the finale. Not only is Jimmy an amazing comedian, but he was one of the first comedians we talked to for our interview series with standups, “The Set.” He was one of Sam Kinison’s original Outlaws of Comedy and has been working at comedy since was a kid.
So we’re backing bringing Shubert back. We’ve got nothing against his competition– Alingon Mitra. He’s really funny and just getting started in his comedy career, and we are definitely looking forward to seeing more . But come on, veteran Jimmy Shubert out in week one of the finals? That’s just crazy.
Here’s how to get Jimmy Shubert back on the show. Last Comic Standing is running an online competition through Twitter called #ComicComeback. Fans can vote for their favorite comedians who didn’t make the original top 10 cut and those that have been eliminated.
You can go to nbc.com where you can find the link to vote for Jimmy.
According to NBC, here’s what you have to do. Click the “vote” button for Jimmy. You will be prompted to log in to your Twitter account; once you are logged in, you’ll be provided with a prepared tweet that will count as a vote for Jimmy, or you can create your own text in the space. If you create your own text, it must contain the hashtag #ComicComebackJimmy . Then select “[Tweet]” for your vote to be posted to Twitter and to count as a valid vote. To participate in this vote, you must have your Twitter account set to public. You can vote as many times as you want and make sure you keep voting for Jimmy Shubert!
