Vandy fans had the best of intentions when they had a mural painted that included new football coach Derek Mason. However, the local NAACP chapter complained when the finished painting of Mason reminded them of a minstrel show. The mural is now going to be redone. The artist blamed the photograph he was given for the look of the painting. Apparently, that photograph was of Al Jolson
