True Detective, and Two New Comedies- Ballers and The Brink- Will Debut on HBO June 21
Sundays are about to get even busier this Summer for your DVR as HBO premieres three new shows that you will not want to miss.
Ballers is a comedy following the lives of former football players. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson plays Spencer Strasmore, a retired football star who mentors other current and former players. Rob Corrdry, Omar Benson Miller, John David Washington, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, Jazmyn Simon, and Arielle Kebble also star. Created and executive produced by Steve Levinson; executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, Peter Berg, Dany Garcia, Julian Farino, Evan Reilly and Rob Weiss. Ballers gets started on Sunday June 21 at 10pm ET for a ten episode run.
Immediately following Ballers, another comedy, The Brink, premieres. Prepare to get dark as The Bring focuses on Secretary of State Walter Larson, Foreign Service officer Alex Talbot and Navy Fighter pilot Zeke Tilson fighting to keep the world from entering World War 3. Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Pablo Schreiber, Aasif Mandvi, Maribeth Monroe, Eric Ladin, Esai Morales and Geoff Pierson star.
