Troubled Titus Young Released From Jail
Former Lions WR Titus Young was released from an Orange County jail on bond following his May arrest for burglarizing a San Clemente home. This followed two arrests within a 24-hour period only a week earlier, first for a DUI before later trying to break into the impound lot to retrieve his car. Young’s family then tried placing him into a UCLA facility for help, but there was no room. Young’s father blames a concussion that went untreated with the Lions his rookie year, and his former high school coach is alarmed at his behavior, even claiming his daughter had to grab Young from wandering into traffic at his home.
The NFL claims they tried to help Young after someone close called with concerns during his rookie season, but Young refused. However, Boise State suspended Young for the 2008 season with no reason given, and coach Chris Petersen has refused to comment following the arrests.
