Tom Papa and Fortune Feimster Are Anchoring New Slate of Comedy Radio Shows for Netflix and SiriusXM

SiriusXM has released some details on the live comedy programming that will populate their new Netflix is a Joke channel. The first original radio show on the channel will be a live daily show hosted by comedians Tom Papa and Fortune Feimster.

Titled “What A Joke with Papa and Fortune,” the show joins greatest live daily comedy radio lineup on the planet. SiriusXM offers unrivaled daily live comedy shows including Jim Norton and Sam Roberts early mornings, Nikki Glaser in late mornings, Godfrey at noon, Ron Bennington and Gail Bennington afternoons, and Big Jay Oakerson with Dan Soder evenings.

“I just wanted an excuse to spend more time with Fortune,” Tom Papa said. “That it’s on Netflix Is A Joke Radio on SiriusXM is really just a bonus.” Radio isn’t new to Papa. he currently hosts a weekly show on SiriusXM’s Comedy Greats channel, “Come to Papa”, which features him exploring the funny side of life, occasionally with guests like Mel Brooks, Ray Romano, Carl Reiner, and Jerry Seinfeld. He also has toured the country with NPR s the head writer and performer on the radio variety show Live from Here, where he’s delivered the popular ‘Out. In. America’ segment.

“I’m so excited for this new venture with Tom and Netflix on SiriusXM,” added Feimster. “I’ve always been told I have a face for radio and I never knew what that meant until now.” Feimster has a strong stand up and television career and has also being a leader in the podcasting world.

“What a Joke with Papa and Fortune” will broadcast live from SiriusXM’s new expanded broadcast center in Los Angeles, and air weekdays on SiriusXM channel 93 starting July 15. The live show will air at 7:00 – 9:00 am pacific time, and run from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the east.

The brand new channel 93 will also feature new monthly shows and limited series from comedians Jo Koy, Iliza Shlesinger, Katherine Ryan, Sam Jay, and Tiffany Haddish. The shows are expected to launch in late summer along with various channel takeovers from comics who have been featured on Netflix like Michael Che, Tig Notaro, Jo Koy, Ricky Gervais, Nate Bargatze, Gabriel Iglesias, Anthony Jeselnik, and Sebastian Maniscalco. During each takeover, a famous comedian will commandeer the station, playing clips from their favorite specials and celebrating the world of stand-up.

Beginning in late-summer, Netflix Is A Joke Radio will roll out new shows every month.

Netflix Is A Joke Radio launched on SiriusXM channel 93 in April 2019. The channel features Netflix’s massive collection of established and rising stars, as well as segments from future stand-up specials, granting SiriusXM subscribers the chance to hear new material from A-list comics before anyone else.
