Tig Notaro Is In Your House (Literally) On Showtime

You can’t get Tig Notaro to come to your living room and do a private performance for you and your family, but coming soon in April you can watch Tig do that in other people’s living rooms.

In a new Showtime documentary, “Knock Knock It’s Tig Notaro,” Tig travels across the country doing gigs. Very personalized gigs for her biggest fans. She invited people to invite her into their homes to do stand up resulting in one of the most bizarre stand up tours ever.

Tig does her show in homes, backyards, driveways and even barns providing very intimate and funny shows. She’s also not alone for the ride. Tig drops in with other comedians and appearances from surprise guests so the lucky people selected are getting a full service comedy show. And her camera crew is there too to document the whole thing.

“Knock Knock It’s Tig Notaro” makes its debut at the SXSW festival in Austin on Monday, March 16 at 11am. The screening will be at the Alamo Ritz followed by a special Q&A with Tig. Then the special makes its television premiere on Friday, April 17th at 9pm et on Showtime.
