The Venetian Makes Las Vegas History With the First All Female Comedy Show

Funny women are taking over Vegas, and it’s about time.  It’s hard to believe this hasn’t happened before, but starting July 11, for the first time in the history of Las Vegas, a comedy show featuring all women will be hitting the strip. “Lipschtick: the Perfect Shade of Stand Up” is the newest show at the Sands Showroom at the famous Venetian hotel, and its rotating cast of headliners are all women– and they are some of the funniest comedians performing today.

The cast will rotate, and so far, already signed on to perform are Susie Essman who you know from “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, Whitney Cummings who is co-producer of the CBS Hit “2 Broke Girls”, and Jennifer Coolidge who you know as Stiffler’s mom as well as a regular performer in the Christopher Guest films.  Also joining the bill are stand up veterans Joy Behar, Rita Rudner, and Caroline Rhea, and some names you’ll know from the late night circuit like Heather McDonald, Jen Kirkman, Natasha Leggero, and Lisa Lampanelli.  Wendy Williams will be headlining to kick off the series on July 11.

Each of the performers are engaged to perform two to three shows over a weekend, and then will be returning several times a year as part of a rotation.

The show will make its debut July 11 and will feature 14 comediennes through December. Shows will be held on Fridays at 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30pm. Ticket prices range from $37.50 to $97.50.  Here are some of the dates already announced.
