The Ultimate Warrior (1959 – 2014)
Just days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, the Ultimate Warrior has died after collapsing outside an Arizona hotel.
One of the most colorful wrestlers in the history of the WWE, the Ultimate Warrior was known for his ring entrance where he ran to the ring at full speed and then shook the ropes violently to excite the crowd. The Warrior admittedly said he would be “blown up” by his entrance, leaving him out of steam for his matches.
The Ultimate Warrior will also be remembered for his promos and interviews. His trademark snort and confusing rants about the warriors past, present and future entertained wrestling fans in one way or another.
He was a former Intercontinental and WWE Heavyweight Champion, whose biggest moment on the wrestling stage was at Wrestlemania 6 where he defeated Hulk Hogan in the main event. The Ultimate Warrior who had his name legally changed to “Warrior” in 1993 was 54.
