The One Percenter’s Restaurant Guide: $2000 Pasta in NYC
Usually it’s overly expensive cheeseburgers that get all the attention in the food world. But midtown Manhattan restaurant Bice is getting people to talk about them for charging two grand for a plate of pasta. Bice’s description of the dish:
“What makes it so expensive is it’s made of fresh ingredients of mixed wild mushrooms, 2 lb lobster, shaved seasonal black truffles adding to, it’s served on a Limited Edition Gianni Versace Bice plate, especially made for Bice 7 months before Gianni Versace died, It’s signed and numbered with only 50 plates left and the guest will bring it home.”
So you’re paying for a plate that comes with some pasta already on it. Gotcha.
