The Disability Icon Gets Updated

The days of the symbol for disabilities being a stick figure just sitting in a wheelchair are coming to end. A new icon has been designed and will be coming to New York City. The new symbol shows the figure leaning forward and moving the wheelchair to portray the person with disabilities as more active. It was between this design or just using the movie poster from “Murderball”.
