HBO’s The Comeback New Teaser Trailer

Here’s a first look at “The Comeback” starring Lisa Kudrow and returning to HBO. The series originally ran on HBO in 2005 and was cancelled after a 13 episode single season.
HBO announced the show was returning in November with a 6 episode limited run. Lisa Kudrow returns as Valerie Cherish, a former TV star looking to reclaim the spotlight. In the first run of “The Comeback”, Valerie tried to re-achieve her lost fame by starring in a reality series which didn’t go well. In the updated version, it’s 10 years later and Valerie believes she has this fame game all figured out this time. According to HBO, she doesn’t.
Lisa Kudrow commented on getting to play this character one more time, she said – “It was almost too fun to play Valerie Cherish the first time around. I look forward to revisiting this resilient and ironically self-unaware character.”
“The Comeback” was co-created, directed and produced by Michael Patrick King, producer and writer for “Sex and the City”. He’s thrilled to get to bring this character back to television, he said – “I’m so excited to be working with Valerie Cherish again. It’s great to be able to continue her story and I’m thrilled to have The Comeback come back to HBO, where it all started.”
Time magazine and Entertainment Weekly both described “The Comeback” as one of the ten best shows of the decade. The show also received 3 Emmy nominations for its first and only season, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Lisa Kudrow.
