Supreme Court Declines to Rule on Prop 8

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to issue a ruling on California’s Prop 8 which banned gay marriage in California, stating a lack of jurisdiction in the case. As a result, the lower court ruling that overturned Prop 8 will stand. This allows same-sex marriage once again in California.
