Steve Coogan Gets “Happyish” On Showtime

In the new Showtime series, Steve Coogan’s character Thom Payne, isn’t happy. And right now, he would settle for “Happyish”. That’s the whole idea behind the new soul searching comedy premiering April 26th. “Happyish” follows a man who despite having everything a person should want to be happy, (home, wife, kid, good job), he still feels his chance at happiness has passed him by.
In the first full preview trailer for “Happyish” from Showtime, we see all the things that leave Thom Payne wanting more joy from life. He’s got a new young hotshot boss that believes everything in business should be about “the social”. Thom is anxious and phobic. And he finds out that he has a very “low joy ceiling”. His is nowhere near where Richard Simmons’ joy ceiling is at. Find out what makes this man yell in desperation “Fuck you Thomas Jefferson”.
“Happyish” stars Steve Coogan along with Kathyrn Hahn, Bradley Whitford and Ellen Barkin. The series premiere is Sunday, April 26th at 9:30pm et on Showtime.
