Space Shuttle to Fly Into NYC on the Back of a 747

UPDATE: The flyover has been again, rescheduled, this time for Friday April 27. Keep track up all updates at intrepidmuseum.org.

If you’re in NYC or NJ with a view of the Hudson river at 10am tomorrow morning, you have a chance to see something historic.

The Space Shuttle  Enterprise is making a final flight tomorrow, from Washington DC to it’s new home at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum on the back of a modified 747.  The low altitude flyover may even include a fly by the Statue of Liberty.

The trip requires near perfect weather conditions, so check back for updates at intrepidmuseum.org.
