South Park is back for Season 18 this Wednesday, September 24th. One person who won’t be too happy to see Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny back is Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder.
In the premiere episode, Cartman takes full advantage of Snyder losing the trademark rights to the Redskins name. He co-ops it and starts his own business called “Washington Redskins”. Once the boys get the funding from a Kickstarter campaign, they are in business as the Redskins.
Even though cartoon Dan Snyder and his staff feel that Cartman’s use of the name “Washington Redskins” is derogatory and offensive, he explains that he’s only using it out of respect for the heritage. That sounds familiar. According to SB Nation, the promo below aired this weekend only in the DC market and during the Redskins lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are back this Wednesday with South Park on Comedy Central at 10 pm et. Watch as they choose Daniel Snyder to be the new season’s first person they make look like an idiot.
