Sony Pictures Sues “Talladega Nights” Themed Restaurant

The distributor for Will Ferrell’s “Talladega Nights: The Legend Of Ricky Bobby” is suing Rick’s Cabaret for operating a restaurant in Fort Worth called “Ricky Bobby’s Sports Saloon & Restaurant.” Rick’s insists that the name “Ricky Bobby” is a proper name and can’t be trademarked, even though there’s a full-size stock car out front and the waitresses are called “smokin’ hotties.” Sony has warned the restaurant that if this goes to court they will come at them like a spider-monkey.
