Some Chicagoans Getting Reminded Not To Commit Crimes
Starting Friday, Chicago police will start knocking on doors and sending out letters warning people not to commit violent crimes. Police superintendent Gary McCarthy said the department is working from a list of more than 400 “hot people” most likely to commit shootings or become victims — or 20 people per police district. Chicago still has to do the actual legwork until the Precog anti-crime technology is invented.
