Kate McKinnon brought back her spot-on maniacal former Secretary of State impression as Hillary Clinton prepping to go viral with her big announcement. This time around, it’s all about the social for Hillary. Kate as Hillary rehearsed making her own “phone videos” to connect with social media savvy America. These videos came across more like hostile alien transmissions threatening to take over the planet Earth. “Citizens! You will elect me! I will be your leader!”
The SNL Hillary Clinton cold open also saw the return of former cast member and current Saturday Night Live announcer Darrell Hammond with his most famous impression, former President Bill Clinton. This could be the best part about Hillary Clinton announcing herself back into the weekly news cycle. The “First Dude” was back and glad that phones couldn’t shoot video in the 90s.
