SNL Announces Who Will Get to Play Trump in Season 41

Deadline.com is reporting that the most coveted role for the upcoming season of Saturday Night Live– the role of Donald Trump, aka Donald T. Rump, aka the Rumpster, the Don, and Mr. Hair will go to SNL castmember Taran Killam.

Killam can look forward to a lot of screen time this season with the new role, and some great hairpieces as well. Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva said she heard that a number of castmembers auditioned for the chance to play Trump.

Killam will have his work cut out for him, Trump is one of the most impersonated figures in political history. SNL alums Jimmy Fallon and Darrell Hammond have both done Trump, Frank Caliendo has played the Don multiple times, Colbert did a Trump but didn’t call it Trump, and just about everyone who has ever touched a mic has done a voice impression of Trump. Even Trump does a Trump impression. Okay that doesn’t count but we just wanted an excuse to post Donald Trump’s House of Wings.
