See Something No Human Being Has Ever Seen Before

pitch dropBut you’ll need a lot of patience or a lot of luck.

82 years ago a professor set out to prove that things that look solid, can actually be liquid. He set up some solid tar pitch (so solid you could shatter it with a hammer) in a funnel, and waited. Eight years later, one drop fell. Over time, seven more drops fell, but sadly, it all happened went nobody was watching. The last drop fell on November 28, 2000, and calculations say lucky number nine is due to fall some time in the next twelve months.  It could happen any second though. If you’ve got the patience, or get really lucky, you might see it happen because the bell jar now has its own live cam.

Read more about the experiment and watch the worlds dullest live cam here. Found on news.com.au.

Only the second hand on the clock gives away that the cam is even live.
