Sarah Rosado Makes Dirty Pictures

Illustrator and photographer Sarah Rosado’s new project uses actual dirt from the ground (none of that fancy mail order dirt) to shape everyday objects. She uses accessories to create a 3-D effect, giving each image it’s own meaning. “Viewers”, she says, “can decide what they really see and what it means to them. ” The result is everything from whimsical to thought provoking, with objects inspired by food art, film, pop commerce, and every day life.
Here are a few examples of her work. You can see much more at her gallery at sr-artwork.com.
