Sarah Jessica Parker Back At HBO With New Comedy Series
HBO is ready to get back in the Sarah Jessica Parker business. The premium cable network has picked up the new SJP comedy pilot, “Divorce” as a series. It’s Parker’s first full television acting gig since “Sex and the City” was on HBO ten years ago.
The new comedy features Sarah Jessica Parker as Frances, a woman in New York who starts to take inventory of her life and decides that a fresh start is in order. After deciding to get a divorce, she finds out that a fresh start isn’t as easy to come by as she thought. That clean break she wants isn’t all that clean. Deadline reports that the series will co-star Thomas Hayden Church as Francis’ husband and the cast will also include Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam.
“Divorce” starts shooting in NYC later this year.
