Sanford, FL Alters Neighborhood Watch Rules

Sanford, FL has announced several changes in its neighborhood watch program in the wake of Trayvon Martin’s death and subsequent trial of his shooter, George Zimmerman. Background checks and a six-week training course will be mandatory with police recommending that firearms not be carried. They don’t mention anything on machetes or throwing stars in case you would-be-crime fighters are looking for a loophole.
