Sandy Messed Up My House and All I Got So Far Was this Nice Sign
Woodbridge resident Jason Crea lost his entire basement and had major damage to his house after Super Storm Sandy came through, but all he ended up with from his insurance company was $37.74. He was so pissed that he had a sign made about it.
After checking out his home, which is now too damaged to live in, Allstate declared that he was covered for $1,037.74, but after his $1,000 deductible he was left with only $37 and change.
He’s been battling the insurance company since they sent out an adjuster who “smiled constantly while he told us nothing was covered,” Crea said.
