Samantha Ruddy Performs Stand Up on Colbert

Brooklyn comedian Samantha Ruddy made her late night network debut last night on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.  Sam talked about legalizing weed, dating someone who isn’t your age, working out, and Facebook and she’s a killer with one liners.

Brooklyn Magazine called her one of Brooklyn’s 50 Funniest People, and BUST says she’s a comic “you should be obsessed with.” She’s also a writer, and producer, and activist- last December she put together a holiday album with the best young up and coming comics in New York City for  ASpecialThing Records to raise money for the ACLU. Born in Scranton, Pa, Samantha started performing stand up at Syracuse University where she was also a part of the comedy group Humor Whore.  Since moving to New York, she’s headlined Carolines on Broadway and has been featured at the New York Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Limestone Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival and the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival.

And you can see her every week at at Lucky Jack’s in Manhattan at 9pm, and follow her on Twitter @Samlymatters.
