After the video of Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice surfaced showing him berating and abusing his players, he’s been fired by the university. This statement came from the school’s athletic director “Dismissal and corrective action were debated in December and I thought it was in the best interest of everyone to rehabilitate, but I was wrong. Moving forward, I will work to regain the trust of the Rutgers community.” No word on if players will be allowed to throw basketballs at Rice’s head on his way out the door.
