Russell Brand On The Shortlist Of 2015’s Greatest Thinkers In The World
Each year, Prospect Magazine puts out its list of the Great World Thinkers. This year the magazine has put Russell Brand on its shortlist along with people who are leaders in their fields including economics, science, philosophy, religion and feminism. 2015’s list of 50 great thinkers includes people such as former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, economist Paul Krugman, British writer Hilary Mantel, journalist Andrew Sullivan, physicist Edward Witten and others.
Prospect Magazine called Russell Brand, “The spiritual leader of Britain’s disaffected anti-capitalist youth.” His book “Revolution” has made him a global voice for a redistribution of wealth. He calls out both corporations and governments for putting the well-being of the entire planet in danger. Prospect says Russell Brand is now “the most charismatic figure on Britain’s populist left.”
Readers can vote online from the magazine’s list of 50 World Thinkers 2015 for who is the greatest thinker out of all these big brains. The results will be announced on March 26th.
