Ron and Fez Live Tribute to David Brenner on SiriusXM

After hearing the sad news that comedy legend David Brenner passed away earlier today, Ron Bennington and Fez Whatley of The Ron and Fez Show went live on SiriusXM channel 99 to pay tribute to Brenner’s incredible career. The two and a half hour tribute initially aired live at 9pm eastern time on Saturday March 15.  Ron and Fez played clips from throughout Brenner’s career, and took calls from fellow comedians, club owners and friends who worked with and loved Brenner, and wanted to talk about his life and work.

Some of the people who called in to  honor  Brenner include Bobby Slayton, Jimmy JJ Walker, Gary Gulman, Kevin Pollak, Budd Friedman from the Improv, Chris Mazzilli the owner of Gotham Comedy Club, Jeffrey Gurian, Eddie Brill, Rick Newman who started Catch a Rising Star, Alan Zweibel and Bernie Furshpan, the owner of the Metropolitan Room.

The one hour episode of “Unmasked” with Ron Bennington and David Brenner for “Unmasked” that was taped 2008 will air at the end of the tribute and if you are a fan of any form of comedy, this is a must listen.

The tribute will replay on Sunday, March 16 at 7pm eastern time on SiriusXM Raw Dog Comedy Hits Channel 99 and both the tribute and the 2008 Unmasked episode are also available ON DEMAND on SiriusXM.

Here is a clip of David Brenner’s first appearance on The Tonight Show.
