Robert De Niro took the stage at Sunday night’s Tony Awards with an announcement that had the CBS crew scrambling. De Niro came out to introduce a special performance by Bruce Springsteen when he turned the moment into a political statement saying, “I’m going to say one thing, ‘Fuck Trump'”. De Niro then pumped his fists in the air and said, “It’s no longer ‘down with Trump.’ It’s ‘Fuck Trump!.'” Robert De Niro got an extended round of raucous applause and a standing ovation from the Broadway audience for his comments although it was censored out for the at-home viewers. It’s doubtful that the President will get an apology on this one. You’ll never get Trump to go to a Broadway show ever again.
