Ralphie May Escorted Out of Colorado Theater By Cops During Performance

According to TMZ, Ralphie went on stage at the Avalon Theatre in Grand Junction, Colorado Thursday night and was escorted out of the theater by police after angry audience members began demanding their money back. There were claims that Ralphie was slurring his words, not making sense and allegations that he was too high to perform.
Reports were that Ralphie indulged in pot edibles before he was scheduled to perform and then they really kicked in by show time. Ralphie May’s rep told TMZ, “He was like a kid in a candy store, being in Colorado for the first time since pot became legal.” The rep also threw in some Cosby humor saying, “We believe in conspiracy theories, we think Cosby snuck in and drugged him. We’re pressing charges because we’re within the statute of limitations.”
The promoter has promised refunds for the Thursday night show and Ralphie’s people have promised a make up date in Grand Junction. According to his website, Ralphie May has a Saturday night show scheduled this weekend at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, Colorado.
