Philadelphia Mural Containing Cosby Image Literally Whitewashed

According to citypaper.net, a Philadelphia mural featuring a portrait of Bill Cosby and other prominent leaders has been painted over with white paint.
The artwork titled “Father’s Day” was painted in North Philly at the corner of Broad and Glenwood and included images of Cosby along with Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Nelson Mandela and other community leaders. According to a Philly.com article the mural had already been scheduled to be removed because it had been painted on a wall that was in poor condition. The painting was originally commissioned in 2008.
The Cosby portrtait has been increasingly bombarded with graffiti calling the former inspirational leader a rapist and dudes with ludes. Writer Emily Guendelsberger posted photos of the defaced mural on Citypaper.net taken by her husband.
