Petition Calls For Companies To Stop Hiring Terry Richardson

A petition has been launched on Change.org asking that fashion industry insiders stop hiring photographer Terry Richardson. The petition charges that Richardson exploits models, produces ‘degrading pornographic imagery’ and frequently engages in generally unprofessional and inappropriate behavior.

Richardson recently directed the video for ‘Wrecking Ball’ by Miley Cyrus and posted several NSFW photos of the pop star. He also posted several provocative shots of Kate Upton and directed the video of Upton doing the ‘cat daddy’ in a bikini. Despite being dogged by similar allegations in the past – including charges of inappropriate behavior by models Coco Rocha, Jamie Peck and Rie Rasmussen – Richardson has remained an in demand photographer for such publications as Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar among many others.
