People Allergic To Gluten Hate Nick Offerman
Nick Offerman threw out this line during his Super Bowl Ad – “When our idea of danger is eating gluten, there’s trouble afoot”. That pissed off everyone who suffers from celiac disease and a online petition has already gotten 18,000 signatures to remove that line from the ad.
The line was part of Offerman’s 30 second spot for NASCAR that ran during the Super Bowl. The petition to have the line removed from the commercial was started at a website called GlutenDude.com. The Gluten Dude wrote about his concern over an ad that uses a line like this. He wrote, “I think about all of the gluten-free children getting bullied for being “different”, when all they want to do is feel better and fit in. I think about all of the people who have gotten sick at restaurants because the kitchen and/or the staff do not take us seriously. I think about all of those walking around undiagnosed and suffering because they only listen to what is in the media. I think about all of the people in the past who have died prematurely when going gluten-free MAY have been their saving grace.”
No one with gluten allergies should ever be considered a pussy. Especially those who sign a petition to tell people to stop making fun of people with gluten allergies.

@NASCARonNBC @Nick_Offerman Way to shit on celiacs. Disappointing, Nick. They already get enough unwarranted bullshit.

@NASCARonNBC @Nick_Offerman Not very cool that you are poking fun at Gluten. I'm celiac and had massive intestinal problems until going GF.
