Pentagon Proposes Cuts To Danger Pay
The Pentagon is considering cutting the extra “danger pay” for soldiers in areas that were once designated as high risk areas. The cuts would reduce a soldier’s pay by $225. Some of places being considered to be removed from the high risk areas include Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Liberia, Haiti. Troops would still receive the extra money if they serve in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and Chicago.
