Oregon Has a New Plan For Paying For College
The plan is called “Pay it Forward, Pay it Back”. Under the proposed plan, in-state Oregon college students would go to school with no money down. After graduating, they would agree to pay 3% of their annual salaries to the state for the next 24 years. Designers of the plan say that after enough students had graduated, the plan would become self-sustaining. Students who would leave school without mountains of debt, feel this is the best idea since “Portlandia”.
