One Million Moms Upset About “Black Jesus”
The protest group One Million Moms who have tried to get rid of Ellen DeGeneres in JC Penny’s ads and the Geico pig, have a new target, Adult Swim’s new show “Black Jesus”.
The show debuts tonight on Adult Swim and the One Million Moms would like to stop it because according to the Moms – “The foul language used in the trailer, including using the Lord’s name in vain, is disgusting. In addition, there is violence, gunfire and other inappropriate gestures which completely misrepresent Jesus. This is blasphemy!” Because anyone who knows the story of Jesus knows there was absolutely no violence in it.
The series is from the creator of “The Boondocks” Aaron McGruder and features Charlie Murphy, Corey Holcomb, John Witherspoon and Gerald “Slink” Johnson as Jesus Christ. It airs tonight on Adult Swim at 11 pm et.
